Kat Contreras is a Dominican-born photographer living in Los Angeles, California. They are a portrait and documentarian photographer who captures and highlights stories of BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Their perspectives in editorial and fashion have been featured in renown publications and galleries. They have been commissioned by Billboard, Afropunk, R29, The Advocate, Time Magazine, Los Angeles Times and Esquire Magazine.
Kat is currently working on a documentary series that explores safe spaces for transgender youth in LGBTQIA+ communities. They are a member of Diversify Photo and Authority Collective and is available for hire.
Kat also runs a digital media agency that helps small business and startup brands develop their presence online.
